Biography Of Robert Rodriguez

        If you have seen Desperado and Spy Kids, then you should have no problem recognizing Robert Rodriguez. He is not only an American film director, he is also a producer, cinematography, screenwriter, editor and a musician. Most of his movies are shot in Texas and Mexico. Sponsored Links:

Biography Of Robert Rodriguez

Robert Anthony Rodriguez was born to Rebecca and Cecilio Rodriguez on 20 June 1968. His mother was a nurse, while his father was a salesman. His parents are American Mexicans. Robert became interested in movies, when his father got him his first VCR cum camera at the age of 11.

When he was studying in St Anthony High School, Robert was in-charge of videotaping the football games played by his school However, immediately after shooting the first game, he was fired, as he used a cinematic style. He concentrated on getting the parents reactions and the ball sailing through the air rather than just videotaping the entire game. It was during this period that he met and befriended Carlos Gallardo. Both friends went through high school and college making movies on video.

After finishing high school, Robert joined the College of Communication at the University of Texas. Here he learned to do cartooning and loved it. However, he did not do so well as the college to join the film program, so he started a daily comic strip called Los Hooligans. He based several of the characters in the strip on his siblings.
