- Save all files that you access from flash drive.
- Close the accessed files. If you leave the files open and unplug your flash drive, your file may be damaged. Files that are not properly closed have not yet been stored into hard drive. Therefore, it is prone to damages.
- Make sure that you close all files that are open from flash drive.
- Go to the lower right of your computer to look for USB icon. Once you put your mouse over it, right-click on the icon. You should see small window pop up which say, “Safely Remove Your Hardware”.
5. Your computer may have more than more USB ports connect to several USB devices. Choose the USB flash drive which you want to remove. Then, click OK.
6.Message box which says, “ The Device Can Now be Safely Removed From the Computer” will pop up. Then, click o.k.
7.You can now safely unplug the USB device from your computer.
