How to Safely Remove USB Flash Drive ?

          Those who use computer know the importance of data and information. Although it might be o.k. to lose some files, some information are just simply irreplaceable. Since USB flash drive is an important tool for data storing in this days of age, it might be wise to learn how to safely remove USB flash drive to protect your data. Here are your guidelines.   1. Save all files that you access from flash drive.
  2. Close the accessed files. If you leave the files open and unplug your flash drive, your file may be damaged. Files that are not properly closed have not yet been stored into hard drive. Therefore, it is prone to damages.
  3. Make sure that you close all files that are open from flash drive.
  4. Go to the lower right of your computer to look for USB icon. Once you put your mouse over it, right-click on the icon. You should see small window pop up which say, “Safely Remove Your Hardware”.

        5. Your computer may have more than more USB ports connect to several USB devices. Choose the USB flash drive which you want to remove. Then, click OK.
